Tom Liggett suffered a heart attack about 1 a.m. today (Thursday, July 12, 2007) and was rushed by EMS to Akron City Hospital (Summa)
There was minimal if any damage to his heart, but build up of cholesterol and calcium (not uncommon in dialysis patients) will require that he have open heart bypass surgery, probably Friday. A heart catherization procedure showed blockage in all arteries. Rev. Fr. Ralph Thomas, pastor of St. Paul Church, is to anoint Tom this afternoon.
His wife, Susan, daughters Erin and Anna and parents Helen and Harry would appreciate your prayers for Tom.
