Tom Liggett regained consciousness Saturday night after quadruple bypass surgery and the nurse gave him a phone to call home. The breathing tube and balloon pump were removed. The family visited and talked to him Sunday afternoon. The nurse allowed daughter, Anna, who is only 8, in the room to visit. His blood pressure was a little low and he was given additional blood. He was sitting up in a chair when we visited Monday. He is expected to be moved from the surgical cardiovascular intensive care to a regular room later tonight or Tuesday.
