Eight members of the Dennison High School Class of 1948 met for lunch Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Pro's Table restaurant, 878 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, OH.

Attending the get-together 60 years after graduation were Frank Angelo of New Philadelphia, Tony Caputo of Knoxville, TN, Carme (Cirincione) Welz of Uhrichsville, Patty (Foutz) Bente of Dennison, Dick Fisher and wife Judi of Uhrichsville, Harry Liggett of Akron, Mabel (Mathias) Wesson of Dennison and John Russo of Uhrichsviille.

Report on the class:

Here’s a report by Harry Liggett who is trying to update information on the class to include birthdates, wedding dates, full names (first and last) of spouses and death dates of the 11 deceased. If you know any of this information, please email it to hliggett@sbcglobal.net

There were 40 members in the graduating class. We know of 11 who are deceased. Thirteen still live around the hometown area and 16 live out of the area. We have had contact with all but eight and are trying to contact them. Some could be deceased.

11 Class members are deceased:: Dorothy (Arnold) Marty, Earl Finn, Gene Heddleston, Lois Jean (Hickey) Kail, Don Hodkinson, Miriam Jones, Jack Kiste, Ralph Kopp, Charles McCray, Ed Richardson and Rose Ruggeri. The death of Miriam Jones is not confirmed. The recent deaths include Charles McCray, March 9, 2001; Dorothy (Arnold) Marty September 21, 2007; and Lois Jean (Hickey) Kail, December 25, 2007. Dick Bente, wife of Patty Foutz, died February 6, 2006. Albert Nelson's wife, Pamalee, died June 21, 2008.

16 Live out of the area. Caputo, Liggett, Nelson, Pershing, Phinney and Zeimer have email.

10 Live out of area and have no email. We have contact with Lucille (Dudgeon) Gilcher and Mary (Menapace) Maniscalco, but we are trying to make contact with the eight others.
