Wanda Liggett to mark 93rd birthday
Wanda Liggett will celebrate her 93rd birthday with an open house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, at her home in 488 Greenfield Circle, Tallmadge, OH.
Wanda Kathryn Liggett was born September 2, 1918 in Tuscarawas County, the daughter of Clarence and Lucy (Sauers) Riley and was a 1937 graduate of Midvale High School.
Wanda was married October 5, 1940 in Greenup, Kentucky, to Lawrence Liggett, son of Percy and Grace (Parker) Liggett and grandson of Frank and Nora (Penn) Liggett.. Her husband died 24 years ago on October 25, 1987.

DHS Class of 1948 meets at Chef Ernie's
The Dennison High School Class of 1948 met Thursday at Chef Ernie’s in Roanoke (Uhrichsville) for lunch. Seated (from left) are Carme (Ciricione) Welz, Ethel (Marty) Kleski, Pat (Foutz) Bente and Lenora “Nodie” (Boughton) Dudgeon. Standlng (from left) are Frank Angelo, John Brown, Dick Fisher, Harry Liggett, Don Cable and Bill Dudgeon. The Dudgeons passed around a photo album presented to them by Dick and Ferrel Zeimer of photos during their July 4 visit with the Zeimers in Washigton state. After lunch, Ethel and Harry stopped to see classmate Peg (Arnold) Heakin, a patient at Beacon Pointe Rehab Center on Spanson Drive in Uhrichsville. The next lunch meeting will be September 15 at the Pro’s Table (formerly Bassetti’s), 878 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, at noon Thursday, September 15. [Photo by Judy Fisher]
